Cape Town Retreats is a holistic yoga and detoxification retreat founded by the host, Annie, a yoga expert with over 20 years of experience in cleansing practices, including diet and yogic cleansing techniques.
Annie coaches Traditional Indian Yoga, a combination of Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga, based on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras (Ashtanga) and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Annie uses yoga as a means to cultivate consciousness and establish a mind, body, soul connection. She incorporates remedial pilates in her work to enhance the effectiveness of the physical yoga practice, as well as to correct structural integrity. The yoga and pilates classes are available daily.
The retreat offers colon cleansing, as well as various detox juices, including immune-boosting juices, cold-pressed juices and freshly squeezed juices. A nut milk workshop is presented at the retreat for guests to relish the flavour of fresh almond milk.
While on the retreat, guests can also take a walk on the farm and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Alternatively they can view inspirational films, re-energise with two full-body holistic massages and therapies, indulge in daily vitamin-rich broths or take a dip in the pool.
