Hoop Flow Love's "hoopmaster" Basil and "hoopqueen" Sandra-Dee teaches hula hooping and hoop dancing classes, workshops and performances. In the six-week beginners' course, students learn how to build and grow their flow, with an emphasis on how their body naturally responds to the hoop when they move with it. The beginners' course runs at set dates throughout the year: information on the next series can be found on Hoop Flow Love's website.
After finishing the six-week beginners' course, or if their hooping skills are up to scratch from the start, those who plan to take hoop-dancing further can attend the Beyond Basics classes. There are multilevel classes in-between each Beginners' Series for those who just want to see what it's like. The focus on dance and life inspiration through movement is applied in every class. Students walk away with improved hand-eye co-ordination, increased flexibility, motor skills and balance, body awareness, energy rejuvenation and deeper belief in what they're capable of.
Students are asked to bring comfy pants, lightweight clothing and an "adventurous spirit". The floors are mopped before class and students are encouraged to hoop barefoot. Hoop Flow Love provides hoops, fresh Newlands spring water, hugs and lots of smiles.
Hoop Flow Love provides services for children's parties as well. Enquire for more info.
