The Blue Train Park

The Blue Train Park

The Blue Train Park is home to the famous “Old Lady” Mini Blue Train and offers all sorts of park activities and obstacles for young kids.

Now an iconic feature to Cape Town’s beautiful seaside landscape, this park with its miniature blue train captures the youthful fantasies of both young and old. The train loops three times around a track, providing kids with a view of the sea, passing ships and Robben Island.

While the mini train offers perfect, child-friendly fun, the park boasts many other features. These include a Mini-Skate Park including a 6m half pipe, dirt bike track, cement push bike track, Pedal Push Carts, a 30m zip-line, 2x 8m long slide, see-saws, a climbing rock, two Jungle gyms, an obstacle course, an astro turf soccer pitch and a bunch of other wonderful play features.

There is also an outdoor seafront front play area for the kids to play on, and a small kiosk offering a selection of ice creams, chips, cold drinks, sweets and other yummy treats. The park is less than 25m from the Atlantic Ocean with a backdrop of Lions head, Signal Hill and Table Mountain.
