Looking to support a small and newly established business in the historical heart of Cape Town?
Kopi Coffee Company is a new and unique space in Bo-Kaap combining a Coffee Shop, Roastery, and Art Gallery. The team aims to create a safe environment where culture can thrive, stories are told, and histories are celebrated through art, music, and cuisine.
Kopi Coffee Company uses beans from as far as Brazil, Papua New Guinea, and India. Coffee beans are roasted in a 1970 coffee roasting machine that, despite the age, delivers great brews.
The coffee roasting machine was used for research by the Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Crops in Mpumalanga before being rescued by the owners of Kopi Coffee Company after spending a decade outside in the rain. Until today, not a single roast has been burnt.
